Sizes run EXTREMELY small!
These shirts are apparently made by people who would consider a skeleton to be just a tad on the skinny side!
I'm a 6' guy who weighs 175 pounds (e.g. normal build, not fat or skinny), and I normally wear a medium-sized T-shirt with other typical brands (e.g. Hanes, FTL).
But with American Apparel T-shirts (I own 4 in various sizes), I have found that I need to order a large or even an XL to get a normal fit; the medium sized shirts are very snug on me - so guys who aren't either VERY small or VERY fit would probably do best to avoid small or medium sizes altogether.
Other than the goofball sizing, the shirts are fine, quality holds up well, but the fabric is on the lightweight side.

* These shirts are great! I have been wearing black T's for a long time because they're just simple. American Apparel T's are the most comfortable, and with this seller the most bang for your buck shirts on the market. They take a real long time to start fading. ...

SLOW shipping on some items
Great price for American Apparel products. Unfortunately, it turned out that they didn't have 1/3 of the stuff I ordered. Then they shipped a bunch of the items really late (two weeks). They told me it was because they're new inventory.
They really need to update their Amazon posts to reflect what is CURRENTLY in stock!

* The BF loves American Apparel shirts as undershirts in white or ash grey, so in addition to those I got him some in colors he doesn't usually wear. The red is cheery and bright and the eggplant is a dark rich purple. Getting them online from places who buy AA in bulk and pass on the savings is so much cheaper than walking into AA and spending >$15 on a simple cotton shirt. As always, the shirts I received were quality material- soft, durable cotton in an excellent cut. ...

Diesel vehicles have nearly a 50-percent market share in Europe, thanks to tax incentives and diesel-friendly legislation across the EU. Diesels are so passé there that you can buy a BMW 730d and no one will think it odd that your luxury car burns oil. Pull up in a diesel 7-Series in America and people would leer at you like you've alighted from an amphibious vehicle reeking of saltwater and dead trout.
