Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Slip your feet into the quick-drying Keen Women's Bali Sandals before you head out for a day at the beach. Their covered-toe design keeps your freshly painted nails safe from all sorts of sand-hidden obstacles, because red is a way better color on you than black and blue. Keen also gave the Bali Sandals an Aegis microbe treatment to ensure they don't start smelling funky after a few days of playing in the waves and chillin' in the sun. After all, you should worry about how your tan is coming along and not about sandal stink.

Product Features
  • Material: Polyester webbing upper
  • Sole: Keen
  • Adjustability: N / A

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love them
These are the best sandals, I just had to order another pair in a different color. I can wear these all day and my feet feel great. Love them, love them.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Very Comfortable
* I ordered these shoes to wear on a trip to Israel, because I had a pair last summer that I loved. These were very comfortable for a LOT of walking however the back edge began to separate in a week. ...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - very comfortable
This sandal is very nice to wear. The sizing is standard, the big toe is protected. When they get wet, it seems to take a while for them to dry out - so your foot stays wet a long time unless you take them off and let them dry before wearing again. The "Trooper/Surf Spray" is a nice color with jeans. I've gotten many compliments on these. I just washed them - in the washing machine as recommended - and am disappointed - they didn't get clean, though I did use "delicate wash". I also see that a bit of the sole is peeling - I've only had these about 1 month. I have been thinking of getting a second pair because they are so comfortable, but I think I will wait and see if these last a while - they're not cheap!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - I love Keenes
* This is the second pair of these sandals I have purchased. I would still have the previous pair from 2 years ago if my puppy hadn't loved them too. I love these sandals. I buy my size and they fit perfectly and I can wear them to walk for long periods of time; out to dinner; with bathing suit or skirts/dresses. I love these sandals. My new pair is in a bright fushsia with yellow stitching. I love Keenes. Period. ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Keen Bali Sandals
This is my second pair of this style that I have purchased. It is the most comfortable and stylish sandle. It is the first shoe I want on in the morning. They are true to size and are a great walking shoe.

Alienware's flagship gaming laptop, the Area-51 m9750, has plenty of appeal for high-end gamers, but the alien head aesthetic seems dated, and newer components are right around the corner.

"The idea that creativity is vital to success is not widely accepted."

Joshua Logan's 1967 film of the hit Broadway musical about the love triangle between King Arthur (Richard Harris), Guenevere (Vanessa Redgrave), and Sir Lancelot (Franco Nero) is strong on star emphasis and weak on such fundamentals as story and sets. Except for a handful of solidly dramatic scenes--such as Guenevere grieving, late in the film, for the ruination she and Lancelot have caused--there's not a lot to get excited about. (The story's theme of a lost, great society, however, certainly struck a chord in the 1960s.) The Lerner-Loewe songs ("If Ever I Would Leave You," "Camelot") pretty much sell themselves, even if they are, at best, only proficiently performed in this movie. --Tom Keogh

"The book was better" has been the complaint of many a reader since the invention of movies. Frank Darabont's second adaptation of a Stephen King prison drama (The Shawshank Redemption was the first) is a very faithful adaptation of King's serial novel. In the middle of the Depression, Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) runs death row at Cold Mountain Penitentiary. Into this dreary world walks a mammoth prisoner, John Coffey (Michael Duncan) who, very slowly, reveals a special gift that will change the men working and dying (in the electric chair, masterfully and grippingly staged) on the mile . As with King's book, Darabont takes plenty of time to show us Edgecomb's world before delving into John Coffey's mystery. With Darabont's superior storytelling abilities, his touch for perfect casting, and a leisurely 188-minute running time, his movie brings to life nearly every character and scene from the novel. Darabont even improves the novel's two endings, creating a more emotionally satisfying experience. The running time may try patience, but those who want a story, as opposed to quick-fix entertainment, will be rewarded by this finely tailored tale. --Doug Thomas

On the DVD

Listen to our interview with Frank Darabont.
Anyone who has seen this Oscar-nominated film knows Frank Darabont likes to t-a-k-e h-i-s t-i-m-e. He certainly does the same in filling all three hours of his commentary track which he recorded over several sessions. Darabont has studied other DVDs and purposely does not repeat tidbits covered in the excellent new 90-minute documentary on author Stephen King and the making of the film. Other solid segments are two deleted scenes, a never-used teaser trailer, and Michael Duncan Clarke's screen test. The highlight is two remarkable tests of Tom Hanks in old-age makeup. Both are very credible, but it was decided to use another actor. The outcome is a DVD that puts the "special" back into the special edition. --Doug Thomas

When Roman tribune Marcellus Gallio (Richard Burton) is sent to Jerusalem, one of his assignments is the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Marcellus, a cynical and hardened man, wins the robe Jesus wore to the crucifixion while gambling with other Roman soldiers underneath the dying savior. He later becomes convinced that his hallucinations and violent outbursts are the result of a curse received from the robe, which is now in the possession of his escaped slave, Demetrius (Victor Mature), somewhere in the Middle East. He sets out to find Demetrius in order to destroy the robe and the curse and finds faith instead, converting to Christianity. This was the first movie to be filmed in CinemaScope, and won Oscars in 1953 for costume design, art direction, and set decoration. The visual aspects of the film are stunning, and it may be worth viewing for that alone; however, the script and acting leave much to be desired, and you won't find inspiration in these areas if that's what interests you. If, however, you are more interested in this film for its religious matter, the story of the conversion of the hardened Marcellus is inspiring. --James McGrath
