Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Sturdy but not super confortable
At $49.95 they are great value for money. They are sturdy and good looking.
The sole is not the softest. Don't expect much of a cushion, but they will not break before at least 10 years!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Hmm.... Well....
* These sandals look nice in a clunky sort of way. (I guess that comes with being Unisex.) At first, they seemed very stiff and felt like boxes on my feet. I was going to return them, but re-read the customer reviews and took to heart the one that said to give them a few days. The leather does soften with wear. They are now comfortable enough and fit very securely. I normally wear a medium (B) width and got the narrow width instead because Birkenstocks supposedly run wider than U.S. mediums. The narrows seem amply wide. Here is a problem I experienced: The removable insole wraps up the sides of your foot about 3/16 inch. The sole wraps up around the sides and very slightly (maybe 1/8 inch) over the top edge of the insole, to hold it in place. That edge of the sole was pressing on the outside of my foot at the base joint of my little toe and tended to cause some discomfort after a while. Adding another pair of insoles under the existing ones fixed the problem. The only downside now is having to fasten and unfasten at least the middle buckle to put them on and off. ...

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - great shoes
These sandals are great after they get broken in. Give yourself a little time before you decide that you don't like them.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - You say, "Birkenstock," I say "Tatami"
* I have feet that are very difficult to fit; and, because of lower back pain, I need footware that will alleviate the pain, not exacerbate it. I have a tough enough time finding shoes that fit; good, supportive sandals are nearly impossible. But these Tatami Nebraska sandals (by Birkenstock) fit the bill -- I mean feet. I particularly like the backstrap (without it, sandals just don't seem to stay on my feet (and I hate that annoying \"flip-flop\" sound, anyway). I wear these mostly indoors, so I like the trademark Birkenstock tread on the soles. It's quite smooth with subtle grooves, so it's not detrimental to carpets (unlike the agressive waffle and knobby paterns of most running/athletic shoes). These sandals are very similar to the Birkenstock Milano model, which I have owned in the past. However, these are far more comfortable (more ergonomic); they appear to be better constructed (more durable); and, tah-dah, they're about half the price! So, you can say \"Birkenstock,\" but I'll say, \"Tatami\" -- Nebraska, that is. ...

This 44-minute musical Christmas movie finds Pooh, Tigger, Darby, and the rest of everyone's favorite characters from the Hundred Acre Wood enjoying a busy Christmas Eve filled with Christmas preparations and dreams about what they hope to receive from Santa. When Roo and Lumpy discover a fancy red bag in the snow and then stumble upon a young reindeer named Holly caught in a thicket, they find out that the bag they've found is Santa's magical toy sack and that without it, Santa may have to cancel Christmas. When Holly is unable to remember which direction leads home, Roo and Lumpy sound the super sleuth siren and the whole gang sets off for the North Pole to return Santa's bag. Using their knowledge of the North Star to guide them, the hopeful group makes their way toward the North Pole, but finds the road difficult and full of danger. Can the group make it to Santa in time to save Christmas by working together? Will their individual Christmas wishes ever come true? Bonus features include two episodes about friendship and teamwork ("Symphony for Rabbit" and "Tigger Goes Snowflakey") and the "Hundred Acre Wood Downhill Game" in which players pretend to ski down a hill and then interactively match presents with their intended recipients. Pooh Bear and his pals in the Hundred Acre Wood celebrate Christmas and New Year's Eve in a pair of adventures folded into this 65-minute made-for-video feature. In the first, the silly old bear plays Saint Nick to his buddies ("I always thought he'd be taller") after failing to get an errant wish list off to Santa, while identity crisis strikes the gang in the second half. Piglet inherits Tigger's hop and jumps like a pogo stick, and Eeyore (dressed in Pooh's shirt) becomes a happy-go-lucky honey lover. Welcome to The Twilight Zone according to Winnie the Pooh. There's not much A.A. Milne in this TV-style holiday special, but it's a bouncy little production that should entertain the wee ones with its warm fuzzies, good company, slapstick energy, and life lessons. --Sean Axmaker
